Theoretically there's a Motronic 4.1 code reader that plugs into that port and pulls the data. But I've never seen one in the wild, and you can do the same thing by flashing the codes out using the test button.

Thesymptoms now are as follows; go for a drive and after a mile or so the EML comes on and the car goes into limp mode. Turn the engine off and on and it goes and revs but the EML is staying on. Get home and there are codes as shown in the photo. The car revs fine except between about 2000-3000RPM when it is rough and lumpy.
